I’m SO. PROUD. of this boy! He read all of Green Eggs And Ham. All 60+ pages of it. Some by memory, but he was also reading because he’d catch himself saying the wrong word by memory and fix it by reading. Amazing. 🙂 (just to brag a bit, this was February…by now he’s reading from chapter books!)

Yep…she’s still little.
There were a couple nights earlier this year that Kate was so scared that she would grow during the night that she couldn’t go to sleep. We all want you to stay little, Kate!

Some kids have imaginary friends…Kate has an imaginary family. It all started out with her “new mom” when she was trying to understand what would happen if I died. It quickly grew into a new family. Fast forward a couple months past this video and she doesn’t talk about her new mom as much, but does talk a lot about her “new baby”. New baby breaks all the rules that Kate’s trying to learn and is always in time out. For a couple weeks when she was processing the Supreme Court decision on same sex marriage she also had a “new husband” who was a girl. Fascinating!

Special trip to Happy Hollow with just mommy! I don’t usually take the kids places like this by myself, but we survived and no one got lost! Yay me!
