School pictures are here!

Nick: Mom, Kate’s tattling on me!

Nicky made an awesome drawing of Sam which is now hanging prominently in our living room. He’s gaining so much more control over his drawing and writing. It’s fun to see his drawings start to come to life!

Sam braved the zoo with the kids alone on Veteren’s Day. Looks like the little animals had a great time!

We had a brilliant idea to help wean Kate from pacifiers. We picked up a cute egg timer with the idea that we could set the timer when she had her nana and over time we’d slowly reduce the time on the timer. Unfortunately, it’s worked a bit too well… Poor Kate is TERRIFIED of the owl. As soon as we set the owl timer she panics and insists we take her nana back. Now when she’s upset she says, “owl, scary” instead of asking for a pacifier. So when she has an irrational fear of raptors later in life, we’ll know where it comes from.

Nicky is four! We had a very fun celebration today (pictures here). Nicky insisted on going to see the white alligator at the CA Academy of Science this morning so it was a pretty busy day, but we had a great time. He had so much fun with all his friends at his birthday party!

Kate’s been practicing going to the potty a lot lately. She hasn’t gotten around to taking her diaper off, but she sure does like putting toilet paper in the potty.
