Four Months

Our little guy has grown up so much this month.  He’s now rolling around – not quite rolling over yet, but so close…he just needs to figure out how to get that lower arm out of the way and he’ll be there.  He can grab things with both hands and transfer toys from one hand to another.  He sucks on his thumb at will and everything he can get his hands on goes straight in his mouth.  He’s still working on laughing but hasn’t given us more than a few heh-heh-hehs strung together yet.  He’s awake more during the day and taking better naps (yay!).  He loves anything that crinkles or rattles, loves his swing and loves taking nature walks in the Bjorn.  We have our 4 month appointment next week, so I’ll update his stats then!

This next month will be our last together at home before Nick has to start day care and I have to go back to work.  I can’t believe how fast it’s gone.

  1. What a wonderful blog!!! Nick is just beautiful! Liam and I just finished our first solo trip. Did you know that if you go through security with the babe in a sling/Ergo carrier (I assume Bjorn would be good too), they don’t make you take baby off? It made traveling so much easier than trying to lug around a stroller or a carrier (the way we did with Jordan =). I wore a backpack to balance myself out, and could just slip it off and on as needed. Bathroom trips were a challenge (on the plane and off!), but doable.
Also, was reassured to hear that Nick had some backwards steps in the sleep department – after our trip, Liam has decided to give up his wonderful 10-12 hour nights. I’m NOT pleased.
    Keep the updates coming!
